I was born and raised in Sonoma, California. I always had an affinity for the natural world and particularly anything IN or around water. Growing up less than an hour from the Pacific Ocean & 25 minutes from San Francisco Bay guided my interest in fishing. Naturally, saltwater fishing became my preferred sport. Coming from a family of hunters, fishing always called to me as a way to interact and appreciate nature - without taking from it.
The waters of San Francisco Bay, its estuaries, and tributaries became my stomping grounds and I grew as an angler and pursued the sport of fly fishing. Striped Bass became my favorite species, and to this day has remained my top priority. The Tides, the moon, time of year, water temperature, forage all play a part in the constantly "moving puzzle" that is Striped Bass fishing. The drive to figure this puzzle out, and the complexity of its components has kept my interest for over a decade and is the reason I still wake up everyday before my alarm.
6 seasons as a licensed Captain, I enjoy nothing more than taking people fishing and sharing the knowledge and experiences of San Francisco Bay with my friends and clients.
