Lots to do and listen...

So, I think it is safe to say Spring is officially and realistically here. The date on the calendar that marks the official start of spring has passed, Trout season is officially open, and it has reached 80 degrees while swinging to mid 40s at night atleast ounce… oh and there has been 30mph winds. Lets me honest if you are reading this blog you are not fishing so you are killing time at work, thinking about fishing, laid up for some reason, or just plain grounded…. If any of those are true hopefully fishing is in your future soon!!!

Spring bass and striper fishing is all going strong and the entire Union and all the friends of the Union are out on the water. Ryan is chasing bass tournament wins while guiding, Chuck is remodeling his new house and working on his bass pond between guiding for spotted bass and stripers, Sherm is traveling the world while sneaking in a few days on the local Delta water, Matt is chasing spots with me on Shasta and big mouths with his boy on various ponds and ditches with the canoe, Costello is a ghost ,but everyone knows he is hammering stripers on the delta between taking time to chase Tarpon in Florida, Alex is dusting of the flats boat in prep to chase carp and bass while sneaking out catch all forms of salty bass…. and myself Hogan Brown have been all over the place chasing some bass on shasta…trout here and there… mainly waiting for the arrival of my new boat through COVID after COVID delay … no complaints though.

The last weekend I spent two day with friend of the Union and Loon Ambassador John Fochetti filming Vol. 2 Got some nice fish on Shasta and reminded me how cool a fishery Lake Shasta is.
